Yes I got my license in late Feb and didn't have any problems and neither did my friend who went with me. They are really good on the timing in beaver county.

I really wish Beaver wasn't so far away. Sounds like a good place to test trying to apply for an non-county-resident PA LTCF (see http://www.pafoa.org/forum/question-...s-me-ltcf.html).
Thanks for the report. Do we know if the form Beaver uses is the one prescribed exactly as given by PSP? EDIT: Looks like the pre-SSN change form. At least it doesn't have edits. http://www.beavercountysheriff.com/a...verCCWform.pdf Last edited by pex; July 30th, 2008 at 11:03 AM. |

I got mine shortly after moving to PA from Texas. I was pleasantly surprised at the speed of issue. Much simpler and faster than Texas.
I don't recommend moving to Beaver County, though. It's full of mean people, and expensive real estate, and crowds, and bad schools, and terrible restaurants, and warm beer, and bugs and traffic and horrible TV reception! Stay away! Move to Pittsburgh!

I'll move to Pittsaburgh as soon as the start the Shoot a Dealer Program that comes with immunity to prosecution... lol

I got mine in 2004 and it only took about 20 min. I don't recall the old Sheriff stating that references had to be from Beaver County, but I see the new one does.

I do believe, if I remember correctly, that they do ask for Beaver County residents. |
