Default what constitutes residency (LTCF)?

I've had my school address for 5 years now. Had two off campus addresses past two years. Will be renting a place in the upcoming months for the year. Registered to vote since i was 18 from my school address. Will I be able to get a PA res LTCF?

Get a Pa. drivers license. Find out the paperwork requirements for the county your school address is in, as they may require tax roll confirmation along with other "proofs" of residency. If you get utility bills, in your name, sent to that address, and are registered on the county tax roll(whether you actually have to pay taxes or not), and have a Pa. drivers license, you should roll...

Being a registered voted of PA is proof you are a resident, add that to any utility bills, tax slips, etc.. I cant remember if photo ID is required, but you really should have something pointing to your PA address if you are in fact living here.

I can not stress this enough...go to the sheriff's office and find out the exact requirements for paperwork. Then you will know what you need to produce and can then set about getting those documents. I searched their website and they do not have the info online, as far as I could tell.

everyone says Center county is the easist to get a permit. Would I have to get mine from Northampton or could I do it via mail with Center?

Centre County will do a non-resident license all by mail for you. Info.here.
But of course to get a non-res LTCF, you have to have one from your home state, if they do issue them.

WTF?? Did you change your county in your profile?? LMFAO. I'll swear I saw Lehigh in there before.....

If you are going to claim residency, you need to go to the sheriff of the county you reside in, no ifs, ands, or buts.

haha yeah I did. I originally had it listed as Lehigh County incorrectly. Actually just over the border into Northampton. This process is getting more difficult by the minute! I don't really want to change my driver's license from MD to PA so it looks like I'll need a PA issued photo ID. I'll have proof of res covered (lease agreement and utility bill). But on the application provided on their website http://www.dmv.state.pa.us/driverLic...gPhotoID.shtml the first line asks for PA driver's license number. maybe there's another form, I dont know. I'll just have to call them up (crosses fingers).

Do not mention the residency question when you call. You should ask for the requirements of you need to provide, that is all. If they say drivers license, ask if a non drivers license photo id is sufficient, as you don't have a license. But I would seriously consider changing it, because when they do your background check, the MD license may pose a problem.....

ETA~ I believe the ID number on a photo ID is the same as your DL number will be.
