Moshulu is still on the Waterfront. They moved it so that the port side is now along the river instead of the bow. Restaurants in Philly are some of the best anywhere.

Questions not to hijack this but doesn't Philadelphia have a sheriff and why are the police even getting involved with issuing ? If it's the police issuing is the LTCF legal as the sheriff reserves that to himself ?

Yep. It's still there:

www.moshulu.com

My wife and I ate there once. Not bad food but kinda pricey I thought.

I was born and raised in Bloomsburg, PA. There is a college there but it's very rural. I could not wait to get out of there. We moved to the Philadelphia are (delco) about 5 years ago and I commute to the University City every day.

I have to say that when we first moved here it was great being so close to the city...with all the bars and nightlife. However now that we have a baby I find myself wishing we'd stayed in the sticks.

No interview in Allegheny County (and lots of others)

That was a checkbox on my application. Not a question they "Asked"

Mine was a little under 3 weeks.

So not trying to diss on philly, but just in comparison to *1* part of carrying a firearm in philly and already plenty that is MUCH easier/faster elsewhere in the state.

Not to mention, the fact that when (guesstimated) 90% of the anti-gun laws/bills come from philly reps/mayors/police chiefs, it makes me glad to not be there contributing my tax dollars to such a system.

I hear they make a great cheesesteak though
Bureaucracy increases with larger cities. None of the comparisons you made encouraged or discouraged me either way. No right was violated, just policies are stricter. I thought 6 weeks and the entire thing was reasonable. I still refer you to the Damage Control's example (although only 1 experience) as what can be unreasonable, in Philly or anywhere.

Al
PS: I am actually not a cheesesteaks fan , but they are good here.

§ 6109. Licenses.

I am glad you are not having difficulties with OC outside of Philadephia. Very cool, I'll read up on your blog. Both Aran and gnbrotz did, and neither were OC in Philly.

Where abouts in delco there are some good neighbor hoods out there and also some expensive spots. I take it either you teach or attend collage in University City haven't been down there in a long while

I think your missing that folks don't try to OC in philla. Mostly due to prior folks experiences.

Since people are not OC'ing in philla, or attempting it, you don't hear any negative reports...

I have only read one first hand account of OC'ing in Phila proper, and it was a bad one. He was detained, ID'd, cuff'd, then released and told to cover it or be arrested for disorderly or some such. I don't have the link, I'm pretty sure it was posted on OCDO. He was riding a bicycle, I'll see if I can dredge it up

I hear ya bud. My wife and I will probably think about outside of the site once we have kids. Northern Liberties though is crawling with 'em little ones on strollers. It's a great up-and-coming neighborhood that was indeed a "sh!t hole" only 4-5 years ago.
