County by county seem to be different. In Pike Co you get a letter telling you to pick it up.

I live in Delco and also just got the letter saying that I could come pick up my permit at the courthouse. What I don't understand is that the letter says that "by law" they cannot mail the permit and I have to come pick it up during their normal hours 9:00 - 3:30 Monday - Friday. Now is it really illegal for them to mail the permit to me or are they just making this as hard as possible? If it is illegal, what portion of the law states this? How do all the counties that are nice enough to mail the permits continue to get away with this rampant lawlessness???

Its a crock of BS. LTCF's can be mailed back to the recipient. Theres nothing in the laws limiting the Sheriff's discretion on how the licensee is to receive the LTCF, nor requiring it to be picked up in person.
