Ok. Then why in April of 2002 I was able to carry there? I didn't see any metal detectors? Was it my metal-detector proof GLOCK 30 . Maybe policy and setup there changed.

This is an assumption on my part, but I believe the weapon(s) were in her bags. In my experience, most places will search bags but not your person. It is easier to search bags with less legal difficulties in my opinion. IANAL.

when I went to disney their was a county LEO near the entrance. I didnt enter cause I just dropped off the kids. I believe the signs have no real weight under FL law unless you are asked to leave. As long as you have a permit. I have a FL and PA. The law could have changed. FL has a lot more gun free zones then PA. PA is one of the best places to carry.

The following quote is from an email sent by Disney World to a retired police officer when he asked about carrying a gun into the park or having one in the Disney hotel:

Quote:
Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World? Resort.

It may interest you to know we have a strict policy regarding firearms. Our policy is that no guns are permitted in our theme Parks or Resorts. If a resort guest brings one on property, it must be locked up in the safe deposit boxes at the front desk, not in a room safe. If guests visiting our theme parks bring in firearms, it must either be left in their vehicle, or checked in with security when entering the park. Only on-duty law enforcement officers whose agency has jurisdiction at the Walt Disney World? Resort may carry any weapon.

That makes the policy pretty clear. I am not an expert on Florida law, but I can assure you that anyone has the right to say you cannot carry a weapon on their property- even if it is a theme park. If you insist on doing so, trespass is just about the minimum you can expect to be charged with. (Of course, this usually means that you are told, not that there is a sign somewhere.) I have to assume that the woman didn't have a permit since she was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and not anything specific about a theme park or trespass.
Sounds like Disney is anti! Sounds like they don't need any of my hard earned money then! My kids hate that overgrown mouse anyways!
