I believe the laws also have a provision that in declared emergencies, only those with LTCF are lawful to carry firearms in the streets and in public spaces. Another good reason to get one even if you are not a hard-core everyday carrier. When the SHTF, the LTCF holders can carry.

LTCF License To Carry Firearms basically means just that, you can carry firearm(S) yours, some one else’s, you can stop some where while going to a range, you can conceal, you can open carry naturally, and you can carry more then one firearm on you or around you loaded or not. You can carry in every day life. You can keep a firearm loaded in your car, Your spouse (legally married) can drive a car where a gun is concealed under your permit.
CCW, Concealed Carry Weapon. You can conceal One gun on you. Every day living. CWP, conceal weapons permit, you can conceal a weapon. Over all the LTCF is the most open and general of permits out there. Others have very strict restrictions to them.

Frenchy wrote-CCW, Concealed Carry Weapon. You can conceal One gun on you. Every day living.
Not accurate. I have a CCW, not restricted to number of handguns I carry at one time. The number of states that do restrict the number of firearms allowed to be carried at once is countable on one hand. CCW is often used as a generic term, much like a tissue is often called a Kleenex when it may be another brand. Rick |

also, in some states that issue "CCW" permits, the permit applies to more than just guns. for example, it might be illegal to carry a concealed knife with a blade over X inches if you do not have a CCW, but legal if you do.

You do have a point here. By requiring you obtain a license, you are maiking it a privledge, and not a right. Althoug I suppose it could be argued that the concealment is a privaledge, and openly is your right

...shall not be questioned.
and ...shall not be infringed. Both (Pa and US Const., respectively) mean that not only can you have but you can carry firearms any way you want. Theoretically, you can carry in your hand and walk around. For everyone's safety, I would not recommend this, however. |

My LTCF states, "target shooting" under "reason to carry"...does this mean that the only reason I can carry (concealed, I assume) is to go to the target range? Seems more complicated than it has to be!
