Default Building a steel plate rack

Lots of guys on the web selling racks (for almost a grand or more!). Can anyone tell me where to find plans to build a rack? We had one built locally, and the guy did a nice looking job, but now that it's "broken in" a hit to any plate will knock nearly all of them down. Need to find a way to fix it.

Brick,

you could try raising the rear of the rack or lowering the front, essentially tilting the vertical plates forward enough to resist vibration from knocking over the other plates.

Try making a hanging rig...

Take 2 4x4 posts, run rebar across to connect the 2 posts together. the just fab up some steel plates to hang down and then you can shoot them. That is what is at our range.

SS88

Bullet spatter will tear up wooden supports for a hanging rack.

For a few bucks in pipe and fittings, you could make something like this.

I will finish it today and bring it to the Pafoa shoot in Pittsburgh tomorrow.

It will be set up at the main range
