I don't know how practical they would be. Like Bigdog pointed out it does not take long to pull two out of the pouch.

I dont think they'd be legal for CAS on a sanctioned shoot. They are pretty strict about being original.
I think practice would provide the same results. I've seen some super fast double gun shooting. I'm pretty fast, but nowhere near as fast as some of those CAS guys and gals. |

I suggest you llok at the video again. I have seen many people miss a wildboar passing just in front of them because they had been too slow to load slugs to replace the ammo that were chambered. There are more slow people than fast people. Quote:

I would thingk that with a shell belt and some practice you could reload two at a shoot pretty quick. Even with the speed loader shown you would need to practice the draw and insertion of the speed loader.

yeh for real a gimmick , if you are shooting clays you would have to load that thing then load your O/U , and you would have to do it with the gun under your arm. The only way I could think anything like that for an O/U could work is if you had 50 of them and loaded each one up ahead of time and then hung them all off your jacket
If you are hunting and the shells actually will stay in that thing while its in a pocket or pouch , then I can see how that would be a benefit to being faster.

interesting point of view. The demo video was done when shooting clays, it is quite difficult to have pheasants and wildboars willingly cooperating to show up at the right moment for a movie.
Once on the speedloader, you can put them back to the ammo belt as usual. Btw, when I go shooting I usually have speedloaders, magazines and moonclips loaded. Interesting feedback, anyway. Thanks. Last edited by Edmond; October 28th, 2008 at 12:49 PM. |
