Default WTB: Bolt action varmint rifle
Looking for a used bolt action rifle to use for varmints. I would be interested to hear about any varmint cartridge. A used 25-06, 22-250 or 223 are at the top of the list. THANKS!

If you don't reload...I would suggest 223 or 243 for varmints. Also, if you live in Mont Co, you cannot hunt with centerfire...you will need to use a rimfire. For that, I would suggest the 22mag...17HMR is accurate, but it doesn't always drop the critters.

25/06 is a nice caliber, but it will burn out your barrel a lot faster than a 223.
