yea im interessted but what happens if no one hits all 4 numbers on that day?

each ticket has four 4-digit numbers on it. the winner is determined by the winning 4 digit number of the 7pm "Big 4" drawing on the PA lottery.
There will be a winning number for each day, so someone will hit it. vince

I still don't get it.
Do you have to hit all four numbers exactly or is it whoever gets the closest to matching all four wins? Edit: I'm not 21yrs old until 5/30. Would the shop hold a gun (if it was a handgun) for me or am I not even allowed to participate?

Guys, this is a pretty simple rifle raffle that many use to generate funds. You are given 4 numbers and you watch the evening daily 4 drawing at 7pm. If your number comes up, you are the winner. You have the option of winning the rifle on that particular day or the cash. You are responsible to pay the background fee.

Okay, so you actually have to win the Big-4 by having one of your four, 4-digit numbers match the Big-4 number, right? So theoretically, someone who is not involved in this gun raffle could win the Big-4 that night, and then no one would win the cash/gun?
Am I on track here? Edit: Okay, I've never ever played any lottery games... so excuse my ignorance...

ok, here's how it works. on the big 4, any number from 0000 to 9999 can be drawn. that's 10,000 combinations total. there are four 4 digit numbers on each ticket. there are a total of 2500 tickets printed, and therefore each of the 10,000 numbers is printed. When the winning number is drawn, one of the 2500 tickets will have that number. Whichever ticket has that number is the winner for that day.
these tickets are produced independent of the PA lottery tickets. you do not need to have a PA lottery ticket to win. the PA lottery will sell more than 10,000 tickets per night, and multiple tickets with the same numbers, so on any given night, many people may win the big-4 on various drawings. for this ticket, only one person will win per night. i hope this explains it. if you want a better understanding of the PA lottery go to www.palottery.com. Yes! I think I got it now. So the gun raffle "lottery" is separate from the rest of the PA lottery, but it still uses the PA lottery's "Big-4" game to determine the winner.
Do all 2500 tickets usually sell for a day? Also, I'm still wondering if I'm allowed to participate since I'm under 21 (until 5/30). If I am allowed to participate, what happens if I win on a day that has a handgun as the award? Would I just have to take the cash or would the shop hold the handgun for me until the 30th? *sorry for so many questions!*

Yes that's correct.
All tickets will be sold. If you're under 21 you can't get a handgun. Vince
