Just got it brand new in the box. Has not even been unwrapped yet. I bought 2 at the same time and changed my mind the next day, but it had already been shipped. Just picked up at my ffl and is for sale face to face in York county or Lancaster county. Comes with a 10 round factory mag, cleaning rod, plastic oiler and cleaning kit, will throw in all the cleaning stuff I got with the other rifle too. Want 255.00. No trades please. Did not take pictures so if you need them look on a Saiga website. PM me or Email Bud at LBBMK@comcast.net

if you are a resident of MD......(a big if)
you cannot do a FTF with a PA resident AFAIK. Last edited by omnibus; March 12th, 2007 at 08:48 PM. Reason: bad spelling!! |

Omnibus,
According to 4 gunshops in the York area. As long as the gun is not regulated ie. pistol or ak with a pistol grip, in either state, I can, have, and will do face to face sales from Maryland to Pennsylvania. Thanks though, Bud |

EDIT:
I was wrong and sincerely thought based on hearsay that it was 100% ok to transfer a long arm FTF across state lines. Last edited by Justin; March 13th, 2007 at 11:10 PM. Reason: informaiton i posted was wrong |

Read the law. I'll post a link as soon as I can. The FFL's ARE permitted to do FTF transfers in their shop with out of state buyers Unless YOU are an FFL, you can, will and have been breaking the law. |

Whiskey and Omnibus, thank you for trying to protect me from breaking the law. We will have to agree to disagree though.

You may not agree with the law, you may think the law is ludicrous.
On this point we can agree or disagree. However, if you think that you can 'agree to disagree' about the practice, then you are mistaken. The law is quite clear. In the interest of keeping you out of trouble, please follow the link: http://www.atf.treas.gov/firearms/faq/faq2.htm#b7 Please note that the law is unequivocal. You, as a non licensed individual can ONLY transfer long arms FTF with fellow residents of YOUR state. Period. Believe me, I wish it were not so. I tried to do this same thing with a SPAS12 a couple months ago, and found out that my going to the owners state and doing a FTF was NOT legal. I apologize for hijacking this 'for sale' thread, but you guys need to STOP giving out bad legal advice. A felony conviction is no joke. It means an immediate disqualification for firearm rights. |

You are more than welcome, and don't feel badly.
I was operating under the same belief not too long ago, and I consider myself pretty well versed in firearm law. Unfortunately, between the myriad of differences between state and federal definitions, you have a recipe for misunderstanding. Couple this with advice from an FFL (who IS permitted to do a transfer to an out of stater), and a whisper down the lane effect inherit in the firearms community you have a doubling effect. I don't think for one minute that the people who crafted these laws don't think it is wonderful that we, the firearms community, are potentially endangering our rights with innocent mistakes. Really, it is ludicrous, but it is the system we have permitted. Thanks to you too. WD |
