what exactly does screwed in barrel mean? i'm new to the assault rifle thing - an sks is an ak47, right?

As mentioned the SKS came in two barrel configurations, Pressed in and pinned and Screwed In which is a better way of mounting a barrel. Most AK's are Pressed and Pinned,while the Galil and a Valmet AK variants have Screwed In Barrels.
