WTS: S&W 5946 in excellent condition (*** lots of pics ***)

I would like to sell my Smith & Wesson 5946. This is a full size, all stainless steel, double-action only (DAO) pistol in 9mm. The serial number is TVS7***. The gun comes with five (5) 15-round magazines, the S&W box, and a S&W pistol manual.

The gun is in excellent condition. Inside and out the gun is extremely clean and well cared-for. The bore is perfect and I have never had a failure or jam of any kind with this gun. I have used it only as a range gun. The grips are flawless.

The sights used to be 3-dot night sights, but they have since burned out… so I simply made them into white 3-dot sights by using Tester’s white enamel paint. The hook on the extractor got chipped a few months ago (my first and only part that broke). Even though the gun still functioned flawlessly in this condition, I sent it to Smith & Wesson to have the extractor replaced. At that time, I also asked them to completely go through the gun to make sure everything else is 100% perfect, which it was. I have documentation from S&W on this. The sights and the extractor are the only two things I have modified.

All five 15-round magazines just had brand new springs installed a few months ago. I probably haven’t put more than 100 rounds though any of the magazines since the new springs were installed.

The trigger pull is smooth and short. Though I’ve never shot from a bench to determine the gun’s accuracy, it’s always shot to where I’m aiming. It’s much more accurate than I am. The only ammunition I’ve fed this gun is Winchester White Box 9mm 115 grain full metal jacket.

The only blemish on this gun is a couple faint scratches on the left side of the slide near the muzzle, which can be seen in one of the pictures I’ve included. These can barely be noticed when looking at the gun casually.
