Default WTB: Wood Stock for A-Bolt and Short Action BLR

I'm looking for replacement stocks for a Browning A-Bolt .243 and a Browning BLR in 22-250. Both guns were in my Mom's house fire and the gunsmith said both are in good shape, but "could" use new stocks and the re-blued. So, if you have either of these stocks please let me know. I continue to surf ebay and gunbroker for the same things.

If you're set on wood and have the time, you can get a factory second or slight blemish from Richard's Microfit and finish it yourself (Tru Oil is my choice). Some of these stocks are about $100.....and really nice when done.

This is the one I'm working on.

Here's one I did for my father.

Lycanthrope, so how hard is it to "mount" (dont know how its called) the actual rifle or metal (barrel, bolt, etc) onto the stock? do you need special equipment like a press, or anything like that. I ask because your dads rifle looks freaken AWESOME, and i too have a rifle that can use a new stock. Or can you re-direct me as to where to find this info? thank you very much!

See my post here:

It's not hard to get an action in the stock if you have a dremel. I pillar bed and make sure the action floats so that takes a considerable amount of time. Still, it's nice project if you have the patience.

I have the link on the High Road when I did the original.
