Default Chester CLEO

I am looking to register my AR15 9mm as a SBR. According to my research, Federal law does not prohibit those under 21 (over 18) from owning NFA weapons, but wondering if anyone knows if the chester county CLEO would sign off (I am 19 years old) or whether they are NFA friendly or not to even begin with.

Thanks

Yes, the Chester County Sheriff's Office is NFA friendly, but I don't know what their policy is on 19 year olds. Your best bet is to call Chief Deputy Moyer and ask. His number is on their website.

Looking on their website, would my best bet be to call Cheif Deput Moyer on Tuesday or just call Sheriff Welsh?

I believe that Chief Moyer normally signs the forms on the Sheriffs behalf, so he would be the one to ask. The sheriff herself signed my Form 4, but that seems to have been an oddity. Let us know what you find out.

The Chiefs email address is: jomoyer@chesco.org and his phone number is:610-344-6854.

A couple years ago I was having a hard time getting a fingerprint card done for my Utah CWP in my home county. Someone suggested the CHESCO Sheriff's office. I delt with Chief Moyer and he was happy to help me out. Two thumbs up to the CHESCO Sheriff's Office.

I think her policy is generally she will sign off if you have a LTCF... Not sure that she will sign off on someone 19 or not.

Update, I tried sending Cheif Deputy Moyer an email back in september. I never heard anything back, and honestly i haven't tried again since i've been tied up on some medical issues.

I would assume at this point, my best bet is to call and try to get some information. If anyone has any advice otherwise, please post here and let me know
