I really enjoyed that. I'm unfamiliar with Kimba of animation fame, but he's cute and the title song is cute, too. That gets added to my YouTube channel.

Kimba.... a sissy... hmmmm I don't recall that... ha ha! I do remember the old guy too though... Dan'l Baboon... was like the leader of Kimba's community.

Kimba was packaged with Speed Racer and one or two other things? Maybe like the New Three Stooges cartoon, with the filmed openings of the actual stooges at the time.

Yeah... kinda shows my age

Go, Speed Racer, GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Look at my avatar & tell me that he doesn't look like a sissy.

Back on topic. I realize it has only been a couple of days, but has there been any news on the letters sent out?

No, unfortunately. I'm not expecting much from Schroder.

As I stated in my update on the MontCo Parks concealed carry thread, what is needed here is a lever. I don't have any good ideas on this at the moment.

Typically, when the government is doing something egregious or unlawful , we can turn to the media to expose the wrong and drum up public support to fix the problem. It should require no explanation as to why we cannot count on the support of the media to remedy this criminal behavior on the part of corrupt government officials.

Metcalfe is trying to get a bill through that would hold the townships & buroughs financially responsible for enacting illegal laws. That will be a big lever.

Maybe sponsor an OC/CC/NC/ event near the park with signs stating how they are acting illegally & irresponsible & could hurt the those in office looking towards furture public service.

Agreed. I wish that the financial responsibility piece of legislation had been included in the original statute.

I've pondered the wisdom of filing suit against the county and individuals in the chain-of-command for the decision to make an unlawful park regulation. Filing suit isn't too difficult, but sometimes suits can come back and bite the plaintiff.

In my view, anyone victim to a crime in MontCo parks, or ChesCo parks for that matter, has a cause of action against the county and the individuals in the decision-making chain of command for enacting an unlawful regulation effectively prohibiting a person from protecting him- or herself.

I wish there was a safe way to bump the cause of action up to a point prior to an actual crime being perpetrated.

This seems unworkable to me. Any property proximal to a county park on which we could have such an event would likely be private property, which would be very difficult to obtain for such an event.

I like the idea of filing suit, but it can be a risky strategy, unfortunately.
