Yeah, I got a little bitter when I went down there one time. As if it's not bad enough that ammo is more expensive these days but to not let me shoot my 100-round box of Winchester .40-S&W is just wrong. Their
reason was that it "jams a lot." Well, I've never had my USP jam on me and that's all I shoot. (I collect the Winchester brass, for reloading - someday, and that's one of the main reasons I shoot that ammo). Perhaps it jams in their guns but that's their issue; not mine. Maybe if they took better care of them, they wouldn't have those issues. Furthermore, it seems as if their
range ammo they sell you isn't as "hot" as the same box you'd buy off the shelf elsewhere. Case in point: My buddy had to buy some of their .223 to shoot his AR-15 at their range. He shot it and never thought much about it. Later that week, he and I went up to the public range, off PA-345, and he picked up some more of the same ammo but got it elsewhere. He shot the last 10-20 rounds of the TargetMaster stuff and then proceeded with the stuff he got at another store. The stuff from the store was a hell of a lot hotter! The boxes were the same. I'm thinking TM has somebody reload for them. I see the buckets of brass in their range and I wouldn't be a bit surprised if they had somebody reloading that stuff to be sold as range ammo. I guess they put the stuff in Remington boxes to make it look good. From now on, my buddy saves the Remington boxes and brings in his own ammo - no matter who makes it!
