Default Chester County Permit now $46

The price went up since the last time I looked. Also, They told me over the phone that they no longer allow you to pay additional fees to get your permit within a few days. They made it sound like you have to wait the full 45 no matter what now. I would rank Chester County #2 behind Philadelphia in making it a pain to get your permit if this all turns out to be true when I go for my renewal in the near future.

That's a darn shame, I paid $36 for mine on a Friday and had it in the mail on the following Monday.

Can anyone else confirm that Chester is up to $46? They told me $40 when I called them for our county database but that was a month or two ago now.

I just went in to renew my permit last week, I will let you all know how long it takes. It is $46 now and you have to go in to renew and get your picture taken by them. I think last time when you sent in your $ with a photo they mailed you the new permit without having to go in.

I will say they are friendly there and don't treat you like garbage for no reason as I have heard is the case in some other counties.
