I do almost all my gun buying at J&E's. Great little place to kill time.
I've also dealt with Park's sporting good store outside of bellfonte. Guy is very friendly. gave me a T-shit so that i could advertise for him
Delt with Bob's in clearfield, and had positive experience.
Delt with Miller's gunshop in Lamar. Slightly over priced in my opinion, but nice place to deal with.

I had nothing but bad experience with Grice's. Infact, I'd rather pay more then go there and save money

I tried to find Pioneer gunshop in Altoona and was unable to find it. drove around for an hour before gave up. Can someone gimme a exact adress?
A'v never heard of east coast gunshop. I would like to check it out

I just bought a revolver from Belding & Mull in Philipsburg via internet transfer. They were friendly and seem to stock most everything I would need, or they can get it, I suppose. They've had the gun shop open about 4 months (as of July 07.)

I bought one from Rapid Fire Sports a couple of years ago. I'm not sure if he's still doing business.

I like Bob's Army-Navy in Clearfield, too. Fascinating place.

I bought an RIA Tactical 1911 and a bunch of reloading supplies from Belding and Mull over the last few weeks. Their prices are unbeatable, the owners are knowledgable, pleasant and fun to talk to.

Pioneer Gun Shop: 615 N. 2nd St, Altoona. About 2 blocks off 4th st, on your left.

East Coast Gun Sales: 139 Apple St, Duncansville. Back behind Ainsley RV.

Google maps is your friend. Type either name into the search box and it'll pinpoint them for you.

Both are well worth a visit.

Another option I'd highly recommend if you're looking for an AR, send a PM to XRingShooter. He builds some pretty damn nice ARs and I'm sure he'd be glad to build you exactly what you want.

Mity2,
What type of AR are you looking for and what price range? I am a small gun repair shop but also can special order just about anything you want. I am a Rock River Arms, Stag Arms, DPMS and Bushmaster authorized dealer. I can also get Armalite and Colt. I special order so it takes 2 to 3 days for something to come in. I also do internet transfers.

Right now I have for sale a Stag Arms 16" flat top carbine with the following installed: Rock River Arms 6 position stock, RRA 2 stage national match trigger, RRA winter trigger guard, A.R.M.S. #40 folding rear sight, Bushnell Holosight (poor mans EOTech), CAA cheek piece with holders for extra batteries for the holosight, a CAA vertical foregrip, A Badger Tactical Latch and a tactical sling. It comes with a 20 round mag. I am currently asking $1550.00 but the price is negotible.

If you want references the following forum members have used my services: RandomTask, righteousbarbarian, MrWhite, ithinkimamedic, arrrrrgh15, and lexington86 to name a few. They are all in the State College/Bellefonte area.

You can PM me if you are interested in the AR or for any other information.

Mity2,

I will never laugh at someone who only has X dollars to spend. I was in that position at one time and know how it is. I still am to a point ( I want a Ruger Gold Label SxS but can't swing the $2300 dealer price). You want to get the most bang for your buck (just a little gun pun there ). I know that the one I described is probably on the high side for a lot of people. Get into it first with something that you can afford. After that you save your pennies until you can get the high end stuff that you dreamed about.

Kenshin,

None in stock at this time. I mainly do special orders for people who tell me what they want. I'm a small gun repair business but do firearms sales and transfers for those that order from the internet. I charge $20 for a transfer. I don't keep a stock of guns in the business per an agreement with College township. I do have a few that people have ordered and decided that they didn't want or in the case of AR's, I typically will always have one in stock that can be sold. I am an authorized dealer for Rock River Arms, Stag Arms, DPMS and Bushmaster and can get Armalite and Colt.

Send me a PM if you need more info or have specific questions.
