Default Indoor range in SC area?

I'm new to the scene, so I'm curious about options beyond Scotia.

Thanks!

There are a few "Private's". Nothing public that I know of. The private that I was looking at is up on Julian mnt. don't remember the name right now, but $100 membership fee kinda put me off (Money being what it is). Let me know if ya hear about others.

There is the Outdoor Sportsman Club between Bellefonte and State College (http://ehilbert.wso.net/OSC/). I've heard excellent things about this private club. I've met a few of the people who help run the place and was very impressed with them. Go to their website and check them out. They do cost $$, but I've heard it's worth it.

Check on campus. White Bldg had a range in the basement, used to take riflery class down there. Not sure if it would be open to the public.

You could always experiment with .22 shorts in your basement.

I've also heard it's a really nice place but the cost turned me off and then I found out that you get charged per hour to use the indoor range ON TOP OF your membership. No thanks.

Has been closed as a rifle range as long as I can remember, my father and I use to go shoot archery in the basement of rec hall. I'll have to investigate the white building range some more. I've also heard there is something in wagner building for ROTC... not so sure though. Anyone?

Thanks for the responses. Looks like a really nice facility on Purdue Mountain, but for $120 + $75 initiation + $additional fees for the indoor, I think I'll stick with my tax dollars at Scotia. At least until my hands start sticking to the metal.

In Centre County there is OSC (Outdoor Sportsman Club). They are located up on Purdue Mountain. Their website is ehilbert.wso.net/OSC . They have a really nice club. Not sure if they are accepting new members at this time you would have to contact them.

Not far from you in Mifflin County is the Lewistown Pistol Club. I posted a thread in the Mifflin part of the Valleys of the Susquehanna Region that explains everything we have to offer.

I am a little biased because I am the President of Lewistown Pistol Club, but I think we are the better value. Check us out.
