As I sit here listening to the rain outside, I think I'm still going to try to get out maybe about 1 o clock or so. I've always came in the "back way" off of Rt 45 near Rock Springs and the road was definitely car driveable.

I know I've seen a sign out by Grey's Woods to come in from State College, is the road really that bad going through that way?

No. If you go fast enough your tires will clear the potholes.

The road in from grayswoods is in pretty bad shape. If you go slow you can make it. It's even a little rough for my tacoma. the holes are deep and jar the shit out of the truck. Back way in is definately car friendly.

There were quite a few folks out there yesterday. It was a good time.

YES! Its horrible. If you have drink on cupholder, be sure to check the lid is on tight, or else you'll wear it like I did.
Infact, some of those holes are so deep, I think the reason why swaybar endlink on my Explorer broke on both end of the car

They usualy fill the hole with gravel sometimes in spring. Which would help big time. Last time I was upthere(last saturday) it wasn't filled yet.

I haven't been on backway since last summer, but I do recall it was 10000000times nicer

Oh you Nancy's it ain't bad*...just think of it like a rally course where you have to dodge the potholes

That being said, I got my 10/22 pretty close to where I want it to be but I think I'm expecting too much out of the suppressor

Nobody else on the range, just a touch of light rain for a couple of mins but not enough to worry about.

*=I should have my head examined though since I took my car out Gettis Ridge road or something like that on Thursday out in Rothrock, now that was a bad idea
