There are actually at least three stands at 200 yds. Ya just gotta look for 'em as some are a couple inches below the ground level, plus there's those weeds and dirt piles back there.

Cool. Looked like some of them might have been filled with ice then. I know when they ripped out the old pit that a lot got taken out or covered over. As long as I at least get one in front of my firing point I'm happy.

The rangers were out last friday too. Somebody was over towards the aux or pistol range cracking away. I saw the green truck go buy and things calmed down a little.

I'm not a big fan of the 3 rounds only in a rifle, but rules are rules. And I'd rather have a range that limits round count than no range at all.

I'm not either. But with 3rds in rifle, and 6rds in pistol, ammo seems to last alot longer at least

It allows you to practice reloading drills.

I am not a fan of the aux. range. That range has never appealed to me as you all have experienced recently what I have in the past. It seems to be used alot lately though since the range is only open from 8:00 - 4:30 M-F. The aux. range is a great place to pick up brass, which in my book is a +. I was there this past Sunday afternoon and I must have picked up 100 9mm and 50 or so .45 acp. cases. There was still a butt load on the ground, I just got tired of picking it up.

I also belong to a club in Warriors Mark so I shoot there too. It's a great place to go on the weekend. There is usually nobody there. Unfortunatley, you have to live or have lived in Warriors Mark to be a member.

I have enjoyed shooting at many clubs in the central penn region for may years as a guest, member. I have shot a State Game ranges on many occasion, but I have witnessed damage caused by uncaring, unsafe,
people. They have no respect for what is provided for them to enjoy
there shooting sports. That is why the rules are the way they are at
State Gameland Ranges. This problem of shooting target stands, bottles,
cans, also occurr at private clubs. I have found damage to the same
degree there, especially the S.O.B's that used armor piercing ammo on the steel plates on the pistol ranges. A club can only be as good as it members.
Respect the sport and the property. If you can not, then I believe these
persons have no respect for themselves.

This pisses me off to no end! alas we have had this problem for a while now and it just seems to keep occurring. In a previous thread I asked how to handle this type of situation and aside from asking them to stop there really isn't much of anything. With one exception reporting their sorry asses! I would believe PSP really won't do anything since it's SGL's they will turf it. Previously Andy (ajc) stated to call this information as listed bellow. So get these POS's license plate #'s, general description of car/truck, people involved and what they are doing and then call away! I never have decent service out there with my phone unless I'm on the rifle range so I have to drive out to the hard top to call but it's worth it. F'in scumbags!

Josh

Amen.

I might be out there at around lunch time-ish (after 12:00) on Friday. I need to zero my .308 and do a "range report". Got the thing in February and still haven't had time to shoot it. I won't be there long. half our or an hour tops but if anybody is around the "inside the fence" rifle range, stop over and say hi.

Ill do one up one of these days I'm gonna have Ronin drop me off with a camera one nice Saturday or Sunday, nice and early and just sit and wait. I will see what happens then. Oh and i would get to test out a new toy i have been building to see how well it would works in PA's woods... It really gets old because they have to show up either early in the morning or later in the evening to screw the aux range up like that without anyone noticing.

P.S. No its not a gun.

Let me know what day. If I'm there, I'll bring my CPSPD (Counter Photography Sniper Pug Dog)
