Default Sunday 10/7 - Scotia

Howdy all,

It's been a few weeks since I've made it out to scotia with football season getting in the way so I finally am just planning part of my day to go relax and shoot. With that said I will be out at scotia tomorrow afternoon around 2-230. If anyone feels like going out or is in the area feel free to stop in and say hi! I might be on the rifle range for a little depending on how busy it is to shoot the M1 Garand or the 22 otherwise I'll be on the pistol range or in the small aux range.

Enjoy the weather all and see anyone who stop's out tomorrow!

Cheers,
Josh

Busy day at the range today. Too bad main range was closed. I still got to shoot though and check the poi shift on the ar with the suppressor.

Nice Garand medic.

jury is still out as to how cool ass it is.

I'm not getting the shot groups out of that particular rifle that I would like. I built the rifle myself, and it's my first semi-auto precision rifle. Ordinarily I do very well with my bolt action .308. So I'm not sure if it's the equipment (parts, ammo, etc), the idiot that assembled it (me), or the idiot behind the trigger (me). Too many variables.

I went to scotia to hopefully shoot it off of a sandbag rest at 200 yards. Unfortunately the main range was closed.

Yeah I missed out on the last two group shoots, but sunday almost seemed like a group shoot.

If you see me at the range just say hi. I usually have a little extra ammo on hand so if you wanted to try a firearm let me know. Particularly that rifle so that I can rule out if it's the idiot behind the trigger.

Busy day indeed! Tons of hunters showing up to check their scope and leave, be glad you guys got out when you did it really got busy closer to 1530-1600.

Arrrgh15 - I must admit I do like the sound of the 223 suppressed and you do have a pretty bad ass set up, just need to get it dialed in. I think it will settle down with use and your experience with it. The device to secure the suppr-on replacement flash hiders and I think this is dominate in design.
The getting is good right now to pick up an M1 from the CMP, jump onboard. Anytime you want to give it a rip just holler and sorry if I rained brass on you. Apparently I did that to the hunters that showed up next to me the rest of the afternoon (but I didn't care, it was funny!)

So yeah it worked out to be a quazi mini group shoot unplanned with Arrrgh15, AgentRonin, myself and Mity2 (even though he didn't realize who we were)!

yeah, the Garand is going to get added to the "must have" list. Just too cool to pass up one of those. I probably won't shoot it that often, but it's more of a piece of history for me.

Last couple of group shoots I was out of town. Gotta make the next one.

Also, cool 9mm can medic. I didn't realize how light those things are. I'm planning on picking one up for a 22.
