I shot a High Power rifle match there a few years ago. The rifle range is nice and the match was well run. It was the first time I shot on a range with overhead baffles so it was a bit different. The range is parallel to the airport runway so one must be very careful to maintain muzzle discipline.

Rather a far drive for me to shoot a 100yd match so I haven't been back; nice place and good folks though.
Regarding airplanes in the past several airplanes have been hit as well as the hangar I keep my airplane in. It also was not uncommon to find spent bullets laying on the pavement right outside of my hangar door which is directly down range from the outdoor rifle range.

Years ago shortly after a C-172 was hit in the door. I called the police and showed them some spent bullets on the payment and showed them some holes in the hangar.

I think the problem with the rifle range has been repaired because to the best of my knowlege there have been no incidents for several years now but it is still uncomfortable to pull your airplane out of the hangar when the range is active.

Can anyone who is a club member help me with the Membership application?

Id like to submit one this week and it says with a "Carry Permit" I wouldnt need a background check or Sponsor. I would like a Sponsor though as Im sure it would assist my chances of a smooth transition into the club.

Ya won't find many long time BV members who value their membership to sponsor someone they don't know all that well. Been a lot of property damage done lately by new guys who don't give a damn. I suggested to the Board of Directors that if someone breaks the rules , does damage and gets the boot , their sponsor gets booted too!

Besides , ya still have to meet with the BoD before ya get approved.

Any idea on when Branch Valley makes decisions regarding new members. I sent in an application for a family mambership a few months back but have heard nothing regarding its status. Does anyone have a contact number or email to check on the status?

I took a hunter certification class there and it is a great facility.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I let mine expire this year. I just wasn't going enough to justify the cost of membership.

I was just accepted a few days after my last post. Seems like a cool place, indoor and outdoor shooting, plus the stocked pond is a nice feature..
