Ambridge Police Respond To Chaotic Scene

Person Of Interest Taken Into Custody

AMBRIDGE (KDKA) ― Police in Ambridge responded to a chaotic scene on Merchant Street.

Initially, it was believed a 13-year-old girl was shot in the face; however, officials say the girl was hit in the head with a gun.

The gun went off and a bullet grazed the girl.

Meantime, officers took a man believed to be in his early 20's into custody. No charges have been filed.

Not saying any area in Beaver is a walk in the park, by day its decent, by night, it takes a life all of its own.

Problem is, if i had been listening, i would have probably heard this shot tonight, I mean heard it well.
Just one of the reasons I carry when ever I have to go anywhere biut work where it is an unwritten rule that one could get fired for it.

My sister works at a daycare about a block away from there.

Last year or so, there was a shooting in the Colonial bar on Merchant St., when she went into work the next morning, she found the gun used in that shooting on the stairs to the daycare.

Things aren't so good on my side of the river either. The county has gone to crap since I was a kid.

There a few of us here!!

That was like 6 blocks from me and I think I heard it when I was walking the dog.

Town does take on a different personality after sundown.
