I have some reloaded ammo, that, along with my instructor, I helped reload ("
helped" is a generous term - I tumbled brass, primed brass, and BOUGHT & paid for the primers, powder, & bullets...

) as part of our 'Y2K' preps. I have since standardized on .45 pistols, and consequently, still have about a thousand rounds of ammo I
DON'T need! About half of it is 9mm (
VERY popular), some is .40 (popular), and the rest is 10mm (
huh?

). I've socked it away, as my 'gift' ammo, for when the SHTF. First of all, I fired
TWICE as much as I still have, and know it ALL to perform well
AND safely - secondly, when the SHTF, and
YOU need 9mm, 10mm, or .40 ammo, you're not going to much CARE who made it, or what it costs - you're only going to want it to go '
BANG' when you pull the trigger, and for a bullet to fly downrange,
relative to where you were
aiming!
If you find yourself 'stuck' with reloads, and you KNOW they are
GOOD rounds, this would be
MY advice, on what to do with it!
Bob
p.s. - on the other hand, if you get overrun by badguys, and you have some reloads that are basically PACKED with powder (brass-cased powderkeg
'experiments'), store them
separately, lead the badguys
to 'em, and let
THEM have them. "
KA -
BOOM!" No
more badguy!
