Wow.. I wonder if all the extra work make any difference when compared to my pulled 55gr tips, 25 gr 4895 and whatever brass doesn't have a split neck.
Will have to try some of them scientific loads and see if the bowling pins get any deader

This loads is very accurate in my Colt H-Bar and my Baer NRA Match rifle:
68 grain Hornady HP match bullet, CCI small rifle magnum primer, 22.6 grains WW 844, Lapua brass. I have reloaded this brass 11 times so far this season with this load. Jeff

I've been hearing nothing but good about HodGdon VarGet behind the projectiles of 5.56 x 45mm/.223 Remington. I'm soon to find out for myself!

77gr Nolser Custom Comp
23g Varget OAL 2.250 CCI 400s This is my comp load that groups .25 moa Loading to just short of mag length will help a lot. With a 1:8 you aren't likely to get your best groups with 55grainers. You need to step up to the 68+ range. The same gun as used above prints 3 MOA with a 55gr winchester ball out of a 1:7 twist and 11 degree target crown. Lycanfeedthemwellthrope

Bushy ORC carbine 16" bbl 1:9 twist.
LC brass CCI small rifle primer 22.7 gr H322 Sierra 60gr HP OAL 2.255 I haven't had it that long. It doesnt' like 55 gr or 68-69 gr bullets either. haven't tried anything around 65 gr yet. but it shoot 1MOA with the 60HP I got this thing for a plinker I don't expect a tack driver out of a std. 16 bbl. Oh it's chambered for 5.56 not 223 but I'm shooting 223 out of it. |

I use 25.5 grs. of BLC(2) or Varget in mixed cases with a 55 gr FMJ. For LC brass I use the same amount of powder. They are accurate as new 55 gr. ammo out of a Colt H-Bar AR, 2 Bushmaster M-4's and 2 Bushmaster Dissipators.
