Any advice on how often to change the corn cob. Mine got dark after about 600 cases but it still cleans.

If it still does what you want it to, it's good.

IS,
Cut up a dryer sheet and add it to your next run of brass. I picked up that tip here and it works very well in keeping the media much cleaner. Steeltown |

There is no set round count on changing media as how dirty brass is varies greatly. If it works keep using it.

I always used walnut media. When it stops working, I dump some brasso in there while the tumbler is running.

I tumbled many thousands of rounds with my one box of media and it is showing no signs of needing changed. I think I will lose the media on the floor during brass changes before I need to replace it.

You can change it when you want to, or when it stops working. Want to will happen before it stops working. Newer media will clean it faster. I change mine after 15 or so batches because I want to. The dryer sheets do help.

You really should not use Brasso on your shells as it contains ammonia, and that will work harden the brass and make it weak. Just say en.
