Default primers

Does anybody know where I might find some large & small pistol primers in the Harrisburg/Carlisle area? All the major stores (Cabelas, Bass Pro, etc) are out. I'd like a brick of each, but will take anything I can find at this point.

You might try calling Taylors Trading Post near Biglerville. 717-677-8513. Scott's place is a little hard to find. Address 703 Upper Temple Road 17307. you'll need to hit mapquest for directions.

Thanks. I know where Taylors is. I'll give him (And some other small shops) a call tomorrow.

Try Mechanicsburg Ordnance - - Nice guy to do business with, and close. York Street, in Mechanicsburg, just below Simpson ...On the left, a couple of blocks south.

His price might just be a bit below Scotty's, too

I found some primers at my local gun shop. Chestnuts in Shermans Dale has large & small pistol primers- Federal, CCI & Winchester. He has about 5-7 bricks of each, if anybody else is having trouble finding them.

$35.99. They're listed at Cabelas for $29.99, but there's a 8-9 week backorder. Same price at Midway, but they aren't accepting backorders. Then there's the $22 haz-mat fee for shipping.

Cabela's has MagTech small and large pistol primers in stock. I think they are $29.99 per thousand. I know they are made in Brazil, but in these times you use what's available. I have used MagTech primers in my Dillon 550B with no issues.
