Default Copper plated bullets?

Anybody have any experience with copper plated bullets? I've seen these 9mm copper plated bullets on eBay and wonder if they're worth a damn. They are made by Berrys. I was thinking about trying a thousand rounds.

Thanks

Rainier and Berry's make some awesome bullets, so buy with confidence.

I've shot about 15,000 of them in .40. You can't push them to magnum velocity and if you overcrimp them, accuracy can suffer. Beyond that, they run great and I always have a few thousand on hand.

Glad to hear that they get your Seal(s) of Approval. I think I'm going to pick some up. I also saw some of the same for my 380 Auto and now I have another question. The 380 bullets are .356 diameter (like cast bullets). Is this because they ARE basically cast bullets and because the "plating" is much thinner than a copper jacket?

Correct. Start them out like a lead load. The plating is very, very thin.

Berry's state that you can push their bullets up to about 1,200 fps without any problems. But start low and work up as with any new combination.
