Default Ammo prices comming down?

I've been noticing ammo prices comming down recently. Mainly looking at 7.62x39. Do you think they ramped up production that much or do you think interest is falling off? I know it's not 200/1k, but 290/1k seems more reasonable than 375/1k and up.

Default Re: Ammo prices comming down?

I just bought a box of .40 S&W at a shop in Philly. $22.99 a box. I let out a deep breath to stress my "concern" of the high price.

The guy behind the counter said " I know! And it aint getting better"

So I hope for the best, but am expecting it to get worse. . .

Default Re: Ammo prices comming down?

The prices from online distributors have been falling the last couple weeks, and the astounding thing is that these "deals" are lasting more that a couple hours for the most part. Hell, MidwayUSA has had some form of 5.56 in stock for the past 2 weeks, that alone is showing the trend.

People are either running out of money to spend, happy with their stockpiles or the companies are ramping up production numbers. Either way, it's getting better for everyone, but still not even close to where it was 1-2 years ago.
