Default where have all the primers gone...

Seriously. Where the hell are they?

I just had to search high and low for one lousy box of CCI large pistol magnum primers.

Whats going on here? Its not like they are using up all the large pistol primers in the war...

They are all in the hoarders houses. That and there has been a huge amount of new people coming into reloading also wanting to stockpile up on components. It's just been a perfect storm lately.

ever since O got in office, people started buying up reloading supplies because of the sky rocketing price for factory ammo...so when you do see primers, buy as many as you possibly can afford because you dunno when you can find them again.

I'd say small pistol primers are more available than small rifle, but they're both still tough to find.

I use large pistol, large pistol magnum, and large rifle. Just got some magnums.
I'll need a restock on the others soon...hope I can find some.

This is the way I operate too...so I'm not knocking it, but it is pretty much what is causing the shortages. I'm a good example of what is causing the problem.... new to reloading, buying up whatever I can get my hands on.

there's no fault against 'hoarding' supplies as people say.

I'll be the first to admit that when I see supplies I need, I buy as much as I can afford.

Well then the manufacturers have to step up and increase their output.

Try King's shooting supply in King of Prussia, Pa. They had Federal primers when I was last there.

I wonder if they are putting aside some of the primers being made for sale as just primers, or if all of the production is going towards making loaded ammo.
