Re: Walmart Ammo Thread
Greensburg has most everything except 22.
None of the ten dollar 9mm aluminum ammo.
Edit to add that they only have 3 box limit on 22.
I was gonna pick up some ZQI 7.62x51 or 223, but saved my money for the elusive 22LR.
They also have PPU 223 for like $7.97/box of 20 - hadn't seen that cal in that brand before.Last edited by Emptymag; October 18th, 2014 at 09:10 PM.

Irwin has most everything except 22.
They have 7 boxes of alum 9mm.
I asked for 4. Hard to pass on that price.
They would only sell 3.
There's a limit sign that sez "22 only".
They didn't care - "No, it's for everything."

Re: Walmart Ammo Thread
10/20/14,Mt Pocono proudly announced a lot of 22 ammo,BUT 50 rounds boxes at $7.81 each or a mind staggering value if you decided on 500 rounds would come to over $80 ! A friend who still goes to DICKS paid $10.79 for the same 50 round boxes ! Where is the reasoning of paying these high exhorbitant prices ? Or maybe there just is no reasoning !

Re: Walmart Ammo Thread
There is no reasoning, that's why dum-dums are still paying it.
I see .22 as taking a price adjustment, the $1.47 boxes of plinking ammo are forever gone IMO.
But, the cost to dealers is about the same across the board.
Example, I can say for a fact that Federal Automatch 325 packs are about $14 a box dealer, a little under for volume dealers.
I bought some for $18 at DSD in Brookville while two dealers on Pennswoods had them advertised for $27 and $28.
So one dealer was OK with making $4 a box while others are happy to take an additional $14-15.
I'll guarantee that somebody was running to those two places to buy it.
The point is, as long as people are willing to pay a premium for .22, there will be places selling it for more than it's worth to most of us.
I see $3.50-$4.00 as being the new norm for .22, with some bulk packs coming in at around $28-30.
