Default How much is this once fired brass worth?

I'm taking charge of selling the once fired brass from the office and I was wondering what it is worth. We have countless thousands of 300 Win Mag. Most are repackaged into their boxes (Federal). There's also a crapload of .308 and .50BMG. If you guys could let me know what a fair price is, say per thousand (except for the .50...under a thousand of that), I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

The .308 is going for about 14.00/100 for once fired. .50 BMG is about .75 to 1.00 each.

Wish you were close to me...I would be happy to take a few pounds off your hands.

You may want to try and E-bay it, or at least check there for going prices also.

If you decide to sell on eBay you'll probably get a decent price.

DON"T USE PAYPAL to accept payment for the brass!

Please read their Firearms, Weapons, and Knives Policy:

https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/we...ame&ed=weapons

Especially this pargraph:
AMMUNITION
You may not use PayPal to buy or sell high-capacity magazines (those which hold more than 10 rounds), ammunition with propellant (e.g., gunpowder), or blank ammunition unless the seller has been expressly approved by PayPal as detailed below. The term "ammunition" means ammunition or cartridge cases, primers, bullets, or propellant powder designed for use in any firearm.

I should have included his in my first post, and you may already know this, but if not, here goes:
If you sell online, such as on eBay, Auctionarms, Gunbroker etc.., you will most likely have to ship the brass. (Not too many FTF deals with an online auction). Even if you sell to someone on this forum, distance can be overcome fairly cheaply. USPS can be very econimical if you use the Flat Rate Envelope ($4.05) or Flat Rate Box ($8.10) to ship all you can fit in the envelope or box, up to 70 pounds, anywhere in the United States. I also reccommend using delivery confirmation, it's 50 cents and you have verification that the package has been delivered. (Postage rates will change in a few weeks).
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the heads up, Mauser. Unless somebody was very local I think we'd prefer to ship everything. I'll take a look at eBay and see what things are going for over there as well.

I have used the USPS flat rate box to ship brass. If you just dump the brass in the box you can get over 3500 of 9mm in one of those. I also used delivery confirmation.

Printing the lables online and the confirmation was free last year as you were notified via E mail. I bought sticky lables that worked out to be $.45 ea. so it was a .05 savings. I shipped a lot of .40 and 9mm brass.

Looks like the .308 and .300 Win Mag both have FC headstamps. Forgot to check the .50. D'oh.
