Default .22lr

What ammo would you use for 100 yard target shooting?

Depends on how serious you want to get. Bulk pack Remington and Federal work well and are very cheap (as far as 22 LR goes).

Wolf Target, Remington Target and Eley are more consistent but cost quite a bit more.

One of the Hyper Velocity choices (Yellow Jackets, Vipers, Stingers, Supermax) will shoot flatter than those mentioned above due to their increased velocity and are priced middle of the road.

I currently have Federal bulk ammo. I'm not impressed with it's accuracy. I can make all the shots hit in a 4 inch area, but I know the rifle and I are capable of much better.

4" groups @ 100 yds with a 22 is definitely nothing to snivel at....Good shooting my friend!! Many will never achieve that with a 22.

I would try some of the "Target" specific ammo out there (Wolf, Remington, Eley etc). It's not exactly "flat" shooting but is consistent.

What rifle are you using?
