Default Description of MC

For those of you who dont have computers or the internet, here is a google search for MC in bullets... I put the others ones up there too so you can have them all, get your pencils ready ... Being a webmaster Means I can shoot a lower score at IDPA match and stll get respect.
Note, Metal case means any thing from brass, zinc, aluminium... Believe it or not, there are plastic and cardobard cases also. Part of what you may have as "dirt" is the laquer finish many put on their casings, you will find this with wolf bullets often, laquered bullets when shot at a rapid rate will start to jam up, keep a bottle of nail polish remover around, great for melting that away.

The only way I have been able to get out of that damn store with enough gas money for the ride home is to promise myself ill come back later.

My girlfriend agreed to come with me for a quick browse through the store one day.. and she left with a $40 pair of shoes and a $100 jacket.

Nobody is safe.

Pretty soon itll be "I dont need to card him, because he has a charge account here". Pretty soon ill have a Sportsmans warehouse quick-pass.

God those AR's are nice. ('Here he comes! bring out the AR's')
Every time I go there, one of the clerks in the gun area asks me, has she allowed you to look at this 1911?

I keep bringing the wife hoping she will see some thing she likes so that she allows me to buy what I want too... But its pretty hard to get her some thing she likes more then her single six ruger circa 1958 3 screw. Actually getting her in there is not so hard, she likes looking around and usually ends up getting jerky for the troops. Her son is Army, and he also likes the 1911 Maybe some day we can both walk in there and walk out with new toys!

Default 9mm Pricing as of 30 September 2006

This didn't seem like something that warranted its own thread, so I'm posting it here. I just got back from a WalMart in Lower Bucks County (think Langhorne) a few minutes ago. I picked up a few boxes of 9mm for some "taste-testing" I may undertake later in the week. Very limited selection, but here's today's pricing:

Winchester White-Box 9mm
115 gr. FMJ (50 rounds)
$7.17

Winchester White-Box 9mm
115 gr. FMJ (100 rounds)
$12.88

Winchester White-Box 9mm
147 gr. JHP (50 rounds)
$12.98

Remington UMC 9mm
115 gr. FMJ (50 rounds)
$7.34

Perhaps tomorrow, I'll see what Dick's Sporting Goods has to offer. Maybe it would be a good idea if forum members posted any deals they come across locally. Probably already been done, but I don't recall seeing it.

It's amazing how prices differ in different locations. I bought Remington UMC 9mm at the WalMart in Pottstown yesterday (9/29), and I paid $5.82 for a 50rd box.

Sure, go ahead and rub it in, why don't ya!

Here's something I forgot to mention... the salesclerk asked me if I was purchasing ammunition for a rifle or handgun (thanks to my Kel-Tec Sub-2000, I was able to say "rifle" with a straight face). Does anyone know why they feel compelled to do that? Would my answer have changed the process any? I even (politely) asked the clerk why she was asking. She didn't know!

You must be 21 to purchase pistol ammo...and 18 to purchase rifle ammo.

Walmart does ask for ID...last week I purchased 45 ammo and the woman asked for ID...when she saw that I was 33 she just laughed...I don't look my age I suppose.

OK... that makes sense. Thank you. Actually, that thought came to me a few minutes after I posted the question. Feel kinda stupid now.

I know the feeling. I turn 35 in two months and still get carded (from time to time) for cigarettes of all things! As far as the ID thing goes... showing it just to prove my age doesn't bother me. I purchased my first pistol back when I still lived in New Jersey (before I came to America). The permit process took over 11 months. You had to sign for any ammunition you purchased in a log book. And I'm still a bit creeped out that they have my fingerprints on file. Looking back on it, I would much rather have given them a urine sample, if you know what I mean.
