Default Independence & NATO Ammo

I was checking out Natchez Shooters Supply for some 45 ammo. I came across 2 brands of whicjh I know nothing. One is Independence Ammo. The other is NATO which they say was loaded by Federal. Any experience or opinions on either. Are they new or factory reloads?

They’re both newly loaded ammo, Federal production, NATO headstamp and Independence sold by Ammunition Accessories, Inc. Federal is US production and InDep made all over. I have InDep in; 9mm looks like US as does 357M and 45ACP; 40S&W made in Brazil. I’ve had some complaints about the 45ACP.

Steve,

What's your complaint with 45ACP? That's what I'm looking for.

The 45ACP’s work fine in my Norinco 1911A1, probably 250 rds. with no failures. But I remember one (very well) and I think two customers who complained. Don’t know exactly what the problem was.

Dunno about the independence brand but the federal (XM193) is actually ammo rejected by the military.

Nothing wrong WRT safety and it's fine for training and practice. I just wouldn't stock up on it as my "go to" ammo.

Are you saying the Federal (XM193) is not marked with a Federal headstamp? and does not indicate caliber?

I can't remember what the headstamp is.
