Default Prvi Partizan ammo ?

With the price of U.S. made ammo Im getting tempted to try this stuff, just a couple of boxes, with 7mm-08 going for $35 bucks $12.50 sounds pretty good. If you have tried it in a rifle of known accuracy please respond.

I will probably buy 2 box to try it for accuracy and a couple of shots to see if the bullets actually expand readly at 100yds in my usual medium, a gallon jug of water backed by soaked newspaper.

Prvi is good, clean stuff. They also make the Wolf Gold line of ammo, and some stuff for FNM.
It actually runs more accurately through my K31s than the Swiss GP11 does.

I've only seen Prvi used on two guns:

A friends 22-250 - the gun seems to pop primers off of ammo. This happens for Prvi and non-Prvi, just seems more often with Prvi as that is the ammo he has the most of.

My AR-15 varmint rifle - I've shot Prvi M193 5.56 ammo, and Prvi match 75 grain bthp and it shoots REALLY nicely. I just ordered 2000 rounds of it.

I use the Privi 62gr (blue box) in my Bushy DCM-XR and Carbine, as well as the Privi Match 75gr in the DCM. It's great practice ammo for tuning up at the 200 and 300 ranges. I've never used the 55gr Privi, but a friend gives it high marks as well. Brass cased, Boxer primed and totally reloadable.

When you factor in the price, its unbeatable IMHO.

I ordered 2 boxes, if it shoots good and the softpoint actually works I will get more,I'm a little irked at the cost of 7mm-08, twice the price of .30-06 which uses more brass, powder, lead and copper, I don't think 7mm-08 is that much of a weirdo cartridge to justify such high prices!.

I shoot PRVI in 7.5 Swiss, 8MM, .303, 7.62x54R and it has always performed flawlessly. Good ammo and good brass to re-load.

I've used it in 7.62x54 and 7.62x25 and like it. I've seen others shoot it and they liked it. It's good clean ammo and the brass holds up well for reloading.

I have no experience with Prvi loaded ammo, but I have loaded their components and brass. excellent stuff, especially for the money. Bought brass and bullets for the 8X56R and the 7.62X54R.
I loaded 46 grs. of 844 and the Prvi 150 gr. SP in the 7.62X54R. Shot it in the 91-30 Sniper. Five shot group at 100 yds. was a ragged hole.

I and several folks I know have been shooting the PRVI M193 load for a while now.

No one has had any issues with reliability.

This stuff goes at legitimate M193 velocities. I chronographed some, and it averaged 3150 fps. about 3 feet from the muzzle, out of a 16 inch barrel.

I have also seen this load do 1.5 inches at 200 yards out of a bolt gun. I'm not saying it will do it every time, average groups were around 2 inches, but let's face it, this is a military grade general purpose ball load, not a match load.

I will be buying more.
