Ak, you do know that if you shoot surplus in the DPMS that it VOIDS the warranty?

Here I sold the rifle to you thinking that you would take care of her and only feed her FGMM or BH match ammo. What a bad owner you are. haha

I agree with Tom on Indian ammo. People who never use the stuff say stay away from it. As I have said many many times. Don't always believe what you see or hear...especially on the internet. There are plenty of people who have used Indian made 308 and wished they bought more of this ammo. I know that some of the Indian ammo is getting a lot of negative feedback, but others have said the Indian ammo is good stuff. I believe there are certain Indian years you should avoid and some years you should be looking for when considering Indian 308. I just don't recall the headstamps that you should avoid.

I believe the major issue with Indian ammo is with CETME and G3 rifles. The bullets are sealed with tar, and tar clogs the flutes in the chamber causing pressure buildup. The OFV headstamped stuff was the culprit mainly. I've heard other horror stories, but this one caught my eye because I have a G3.

I didn't see this till today. I don't plan on shooting crap ammo through the DPMS, I just want the option to not spend a dollar a round

Same here. I was using the surplus to sight in and break in the DPMS but was surprised by the accuracy. I haven't even fed it the Black Hills or M118 LR yet. Very impressed with the DPMS so far!!!

I told you guys the DPMS is no joke when it comes to being a super shooter. One of the best kept secrets.

Yeah but not being able to shoot surplus makes it a expensive shooter.

Does DPMS give a reason?

This puppy has been on my consider list for a while. Without being able to shoot surplus I may just stick to my M14 & PTR-91 for .308

Per DPMS, much of the surplus ammo available (especially SA) has "soft brass" and the brass may (over) expand and fill microscopic irregularities in the tight match quality DPMS chamber thus causing extraction problems. DPMS = Dumb Petty Makeshift excuse not use Surplus! I have shot a few hundred rounds so far and a friend has shot somewhere around 3-4k (though in an Armalite) of good quality surplus and have not experienced these problems.

I just read an ad from JG sales. ".308 Caliber SUPER SALE"

1000 rounds for $99.90 3000 rounds for $94.50/1000
