I hope not, that sounds like a price I can stand.

I was at Tanner's yesterday seeking the ever-elusive .22lr and its equally rare sister .22 WMR. No luck. The clerk tells me about 150 guys line up before they open on Saturday when a shipment of .22lr comes in and it goes fast.

They did have .22 WMR snake shot. Heck, even Dicks has the same .22lr snake shot that's been gathering dust since December. I didn't know we had such a big snake problem in the Philadelphia region.

I remember the days when a box of 50 rounds was 50 cents and as plentiful as dirt.

I saw a guy yesterday buy up 22LR when he didn't even own a 22LR, but he bought it "just in case". He looked so eager he ran to the counter desperate to get it when he heard it was available. Looked like he needed to mop up his slobber. I raised my eyebrow while I was browsing the pistols. Just in case of what? Is 22LR the go to round when Red Dawn goes down?

    Buy! Buy! Buy!

I'm just not getting the frenzy over this stupid round.

This guy is probably one of those clowns who "flip" ammo. They buy it for a "reasonable" price and turn around and gouge folks at gun shows who are desperate for .22lr. Over the past year, I've seen bricks of .22lr go from $19 to $35 to $50 to $64 to $90!

Think he'll learn from his mistake?

I've had some success at getting .22 here and there. Always more "premium" lines, never bulk in stores. Did get a Federal 550 brick off of this forum a while back. That's what I've been shooting, albeit sparingly.

American Eagle at PSA. $35/400, but I guess it's something if you really need it.

Got four boxes yesterday at the local dunhams. A hair higher price than I would like. But on par for dunhams.

They also had an entire shelf, checked again today, got another four boxes. Still plenty of it there.
I'm so fast, I can bump fire a bolt action.

Cabelas has CCI Mini-Mags $8.99/100 online, with a limit of 1 box. Shipping 1 box would be prohibitively expensive, but you can have it shipped into the store for free & pick it up.
