Default Reloading 7.62x54R on a Loadmaster

Got an M38 coming in da mail.

Need to get my reloading gear and prepare for zombies and bowling pins.

Anyone else use Lee loadmaster? What shell plate did you use? Or am I stuck single staging the big russian?

MidwayUSA.com gave some good reasons NOT to use the Lee 7.62x54R dies... mainly cause the expander is the wrong size and the sizing die scrapes off brass.. and the bullet seater profile is bad.

What other x54R dies have you used?

Thanks!

I don't think Lee makes a shell plate for the 7.62X54R I suppose you could call and ask Tues. the shell holder for the autoprime is a 16

RCBS and single stage press. Makes perfect rounds every time. Steel or brass casings, too.

It does look like I'm gonna have to use the one armed bandit for x54R. Don't shoot a lot of it but I was concerned when I read the reviews on the Lee dies at MidwayUSA. I think RCBS has the dies for like $30.
