Question Best 9mm bang for the buck

I've been buying WWB100 at Wal Mart, I've seen CCI, American Eagle and others online for less, what are the pros vs cons of different 9mm cartridges ? I have a friend who will reload, but with bullets at $85 per 1000 plus brass, powder & time I would be dollars ahead to go with the cheap stuff I've seen, IMO. All suggestions considered and appreciated.

For practice buy the cheapest ammo you can find. If your gun will shoot it without any problems then you're good to go.

For personal defense ammo.... well, you'll get a dozen different opinions for a dozen different people.

I shoot mostly .22lr ammo coz I can afford it. I do squeeze off a box of WWB .45acp FMJ ammo every couple months or so. I carry Remington JHP .45acp though.

As far as purchasing online.... Don't forget to factor in the cost of shipping when you compare to just buying it at the store.

SoberByker turned me on to this site: ammunitiontogo.com. They seem pretty reasonable.

nice, I had looked at their rifle ammo before, didnt peek at their 9mm prices.
Site is hard to navigated.

WWB 100 round packs had been 18 AFTER tax before the increase.

Looks like these guys are fairly reasonable, have you bought from them?
Hows their shipping charges?

.... nor the TAX when buying at the store, not as much as some shipping charges, but it still figures in the price.

Ditto....if your weapon can chew the cheaper stuff and give you more trigger time life is good!

I shoot alot of WWB and UMC...in pistols, revolvers and rifles alike. Time on the range is good therapy, but I don't want to pay a therapists fee to shoot!

Shipping goes via UPS and is based on the weight of the package. Not cheap but what is these days.

My most recent orded the shipping was around $17,

4 fifty round boxes of 357 Mag Aguila 158gr. Semi-Jacketed Hollow Point Ammo

and 2 fifty round boxes of 9mm Federal LE Tactical HST 147gr. HP Ammo

I have yet to order from them. I just got turned on to them the other day, but from what I've seen, they seem to be VERY reasonable. I think it was like 18.00 per 100 rounds, in boxes of 50 for 9mm FMJ Wolf. I figure if it's for the range, I'm goin' as cheap as I can. I can always buy better stuff just for carrying. If you wanna PM SoberByker, I'm sure he would have better info. He says he buys from them a good bit. Hope this was helpful.

Edit: looks like Soberbyker posted as I was composing here. So, there ya go Shawn, have a nice day!

I ordered a case (1000 rounds) of Wolf .223 from ammunitiontogo.com. The case was $250.00. The shipping was $25.00. No tax.
I ordered a case of Wolf .223 from ammoman.com and it was a straight up $269.00. No shipping fees or tax.

The both places shipped on the day I placed the order. I got both orders in 2 days.
