Default Can you recommend Cabelas bulk ammo?

You can buy the cans of ammo at Cabelas in 300 round increments. Is it any good? I heard that they mix brass casings in the same container. Comments from users would be much appreciated.

I regularly buy bulk packs from Sportsmans Warehouse Dicks has that too, you basically buy the same bullets advertized with out the boxes, Believe it or not, a large about nof the money you spend on ammo is the actual package. Dumb thing is, they dont buyback or recycle the boxes or foam/plastic insides at the store.

In Canada, the regular practice is when you buy a box of ammo, you pay a deposit on the Box and Casings, so people tend to bring them back. I buy bulk in 9mm and 12 Gauge on a regular basis, no reason to have the boxes if you dont need them.

As for Brass vs Nickle cases, most firearms dont see a differance in them, and you would need to catch a box in midrun to get mixed lots, most companies run either brass or Nickle, not both off their machines. If these are reloads then you might see 2 or more brands of shells, but few if any main stores I know of sell reloads because of the Liability in them.

I believe you are talking about the remanufactured ammo they have in bulk, I have used it in all of my firearms without issue, I believe it is factory reloads since it comes with mixed brass (e.g. rem and win cases)

Same here, decent plinking ammo for the price, no issues for me either.

I went through 300 rounds of .30 Carbine and it shot well. Never heard of the manufacturer, Ammo was in 6 50rd bright orange boxes, inside the green plastic ammo box.

I haven't bought any more as I am reloading the snot out of the original 300.

It is remanufactured. When I bought mine this past summer it was Ultramax. So far, no issues.
