Default Safety bullets

I didnt find anything on the search section so I wanted to throw this out there. Has anyone ever used and or fired those safety rounds before? I forgot what they are called, but I saw them being sold at the firing line in whitehall about a year ago, and the guy behind the counter said that they are popular with people who may live in apartments because they wont go through drywall.

Anyone familiar with them, and if so, how are they, are they worth it?

Glazer safety slugs, I believe made by corbon. I don't think I would stand on the other side of the drywall though.

so, pretty much what your trying to say if I hear you right, is that what I have heard about Glaser is a complete lie? it will by all means go through a normal interior wall which consists of two pieces of sheetrock, maybe some insulation, and a wire here and there.

No round that won't penetrate several layers of sheetrock will penetrate far enough to reliably destroy vital organs or reach the CNS in a human being. Avoid prefragmented rounds.

I had a few in the mag, when the instructor saw them he told me to get rid of that shit and replace them with another group of ball or EFMJ. I have 8 45ACP sitting in a drawer now.

are they a danger to use in a handgun? and going beyond that, are those "shot shells" that I have seen worth, not worth trying?

Glasers are no danger to use and they have some limited applications....they certainly go through drywall.... Check the link to the Box of Truth I posted.

Shotshells on the other hand are useless for anything but snakes and mice.

For pistol shotshell performance refer again to the "box of truth": http://www.theboxotruth.com/docs/bot30.htm
