Default Re: PFOA Sunday Shoots Guy In Charge

I am not, personally, against full auto shooting. I do think it is a waste of ammo and extremely dangerous in the hands of a novice. The PMSC rules do not allow for it without the permission of the board. Even then, permission is only granted to members for insurance reasons. There are several members working to bring more full-auto shooting to the club, but again, that will be for members only.

John, the negative attention that you asked about, you also answered. I do not have to agree with the viewpoints to understand them. The fact of the matter is that if we piss off the membership of PMSC, we are not going to have a place to have the PAFOA shoots. Keep in mind that this does not affect me personally in the slightest. I am a member at PMSC, so I can shoot there any time I want.

Your comment about a movement toward requiring suppressors is, well, a little unsupported. I would be interested to know the source of the information on that movement.

Firstly let me point out that at most all European Shooting Ranges,it is considered Rude to shoot Unsupressed. This is also the same region where Gasoline was selling for over $4.00 per Gal 10 years ago. And we said that will never happen here

How long do you think it is going to take before OSHA teams with the Anti Gunners and Anti Range Locals to pass Sound Ordinances that will impact most all Shooting Ranges? If you can't see this one coming "Look Out Louise"

When I started selling Suppressors some 10 years ago I sold maybe 3 a year. Now I sell probably 63 a year you tell me? Most folks find they also enjoy their Shooting Sport alot more while using a Suppressor,I know I do.

Unless you are a glutten for ear punishment and alot are as they just have to have the Big Bang, one must concur that a Suppressed Weapon is much more pleasurable to shoot.

Least we forget that our cars are the targets of Citations if we have No or a faulty muffler The day of Mandated Sound Supression is right around the corner you just can't seem to put your eye on it yet. But alot of people can and this is why Suppressors are selling 10 times the volume that they were just 10 years ago.

I agree with your points(*except for the European gas reference), however, I don't think you'll ever see a mandate or law requiring suppressors(my opinion). I have never seen an article online or on paper that indicates this might change any time in the near or distant future(a fact that I have not seen such an article).

"Fact of the matter is that in the near years to come just about all ranges in suburban locales are going to mandate the use of sound suppressors" This is your opinion, which if it came to pass, would certainly be good for your business.

*gas in Europe currently costs $6-8 per gallon, so the increase in cost has not been just here in the US.

You are entirely Right and I hope you will forgive my oversight on the subject.
