they are forgetting the most important element to our fantastic shoots.........and no it's not about the guns............It's all about the FOOD and PEOPLE!!!!!

Yeah, sure we send some lead down range. Get to check out other's firearms. Learn more about ours and theirs. Yeah, we shoot. But, getting to hang with others with similar interests and of course eat is what it is all about.

They need someone to pick a range and a date and see who shows just like EM did. Like Lycan said in another thread......plan it and they will come.

Well, OK so the marketing team consists of one person and I actually enjoy doing this stuff... for free. ( No wonder I'm always broke!)

Really guys, I'm more of a follower than a leader, but if I (with help of other members) can get something like this going, you can too.
Honestly, if there were only five members that got together, I would still consider it a success, the fact that we're expecting 25-30 PAFOA members this Sunday just blows my mind!
What a great bunch of guys and what a fun way to get to know each other!

I was thinking the Eastern guys can rallyout there and then in the spring and fall we could run a weekend shoot somewhere mid state.

Conceptually this is okay, but I don't have a lot of spare time. I could drive maybe as far as mid-Lancaster County on a weekend (read: Saturday before the boss finds work for me), but that's about it.

As many of you have already figured out, group shoot range options east of the Lancaster/Chester County border are limited.

Don't know what's up. IMHO, I think it's the lack of an organizer who has time to do it, as well as the fact that out here, it's genuinely harder to find a place to shoot. Due to the surge in population from all the NJ'ers moving West (like myself... ), ranges are getting skittish. Most ranges out here require membership and allow only a few guests per member. For a member to host an event requires paying a fee to the club to rent the range out for the day.

Oh well, one of these days we'll get our act together out here; there have been some small group shoots out here, but not any big ones yet.

The answer is simple

ROAD TRIP!!


Just pile in a van and come to Pittsburgh (by far the best city in this great state) and we will all be united in brotherhood.



Now, for a serious solution I would think someone has to make a special deal with a local range to handle the larger numbers. I am sure this would require a slight fee, and I am also sure that by citing the assn. and that we are a responsible group would help too. Just have everyone pitch in $5 or $10 would cover the cost of the range.

As far as other supplies, just bring some targets, ammo, and food. Everyone can bring a little bit and have a great time.

Good luck, and hopefully someone can overcome a few hoops and get you guys a nice group shoot.
