Default PAFOA Monthly Newsletter

The other night I was chatting with doug and he brought up the idea of a monthly newsletter which I think is a great idea. As such I think I'd like to spend the month of November getting a newsletter prepared to go out on the 1st of December to all members who have opted in to receive Administrator Emails.

I figure the way we can do it is break the newsletter out into sections, each of which might havea one or two little articles in them, the sections I've thought of so far are:
  1. General PAFOA News
  2. Law & Politics
  3. Review of a local Business (Range, Dealer, Training, etc.)
  4. Interview with someone if we can find someone interesting to interview (Police, DA, Politician, etc.)
  5. General articles on shooting (Tips on buying/selling guns, tactics, etc.)
I'd love to see if any of you guys have any other ideas for such a newsletter and I'd like to hear from anyone who would like to contribute to it. I'd be particularly interested in having people who can write firearms-related articles who are in an authoritative capacity (like FFLs, people who do training, etc.)

Let's give ourselves a month and see what we can get together. I'd happily take any and all submissions to dpehrson@pafoa.org just send me an email with something like "December Newsletter" submission in the subject.

There's also a few people on the forum who I'm going to contact privately who I know could write some great articles due to their jobs.

Also, one thing to keep in mind is this will probably be a pretty short newsletter, we're not lookoing for 3-page articles on a subject, just a great way to share what you know with everyone else in an organized fashion. I just figure it'll be osmething to add some more fun to the site.

As always, feel free to contact me with any questions or comments.
