Default Re: what would be a good red dot or scope for a Hipoint 995 carbine?

Like I said, I have a couple Bushnell Trophy series red dot, (73-0134) at a cost of around $81-$85. They have four different red dot sights. A small dot, a larger dot, about a 1" circle with dot inside and a cross hairs. There is also an intensity reostat between 0,(off) and 10. it's only one power with a 28mm lens, which is very good for up to 50 yards. For the price, it's a nice scope, and has about a 3" eye relief, and it looks good on the 995.
Now on the other hand, someone posted about a Barska from Buds Gun Shop for only $19.59. Even though I have no need, I ordered two of these. The reason was, a guy at work said he had a Barska on his AR, and it has been working pretty good. Although it was not a red dot, and not this model, I took his word, and for $20, what the heck. I spend more than that on beer in a week. It's a one power but has a 50mm lens. That's pretty big, but then again, it would give a pretty wide view, and maybe enough to shoot with both eyes open. We will see, as I have two of these coming, and should be here tommorow.
Just wait, a bit and I'll give a recap on the Barska.
