I think the majority of the National Guard
WILL NOT blindly follow those orders. I can't speak of the active components but the guardsmen that I know and work with would not take arms against US citizens. I know that I could never enforce an act that is unconstitutional. I was in New Orleans during Katrina... I disarmed
NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON. I stopped and talked to quite a few who were visably armed and very pissed off but did not remove their weapons. I got "talked to" by the Lt for it but that's it. I told him if he wanted me to collect guns from citizens who were defending their property they should put me on a plane and send me home. Most of my troops felt the same way.
