Default Re: scotia road leveled yet??

I was out there yesterday and this evening. I went back each road each time. The entrance off of gatesburg isn't bad, it isn't great either and is starting to get some big holes but they are avoidable. The problem is the gate is locked after hours and on weekends so I was F'd and had to carry all my stuff down to the Aux range. F! Today I went back the grays woods way, wow! F'n horrible! I think I'll hike the short distance behind the gate over that abortion of a road.

On a side note, I think I know why the road has taken such a beating this year. While I was out there I watched not 1 but 2 fully loaded logging trucks barrel down that road. They came from the gatesburg side and must have had a key for the gate because it was locked when I got there and left yet they got through just fine. They just about ran one of my friends off the road because they were flying down it and you could hear them from a distance. I have no idea how much one of those trucks weighs but I just figured out why is was so beat and we have the guilty parties driving full tilt.

I wonder if maybe we could get a local boy scout troop to work on the road or maybe have someone work on it as an eagle project.
